The man WHO THINKS HE CAN!

“If you think you are beaten, you are, If you think you dare not, you don’t
If you like to win, but you think you can’t, It is almost certain you won’t.

“If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost For out of the world we find, Success begins with a fellow’s will- It’s all in the state of mind.

“If you think you are outclassed, you are, You’ve got to think high to rise, You’ve got to be sure of yourself before You can ever win a prize.

“Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man, But soon or late the man who wins Is the man WHO THINKS HE CAN!”

Team spirit by Fightzone Stockholm

Fightzone Stockholm

Hi all,

Was going to write a bit about team spirit

TEAM SPIRIT

Creating team spirit is not only the coach’s responsibility, but it’s everyone’s responsibility.
Team spirit is dependent on the cooperation of all individuals in the team.
Your own effort and everyone else’s efforts in training has a positive or negative influence on the team.

POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE TEAM:

Being positive towards  your teammates means to encourage, support each other and talk about the good things you have done and all good things the team will do.

That means talking to his teammates about the positive things they have done, such as (“good takedown”, “great pass”, “good submission attempts”).

Even though we are doing a individuel sports, it is dependent on co-operation between all the individuals in the team.

So exsamples:

# 1 EVERYBODY COMES TO TRAINING ON TIME
# 2 NOBODY STOPS TRAINING EARLY
# 3 EVERYBODY TRAINS WHAT THE COACH SAID
# 4 EVERYBODY DRILLS WHILE IT’S TIME TO DRILL
# 5 EVERYBODY “OPENS UP THEIR GAME” WHEN IT IS TIME FOR “SPARRING”

NEGATIVE IMPACT ON THE TEAM:

Being negtiv against his teammates means you do things that interfere with workouts and the preparation for tournaments such as

# 1 SHOWING UP LATE TO TRAINING
# 2 STOPS TRAINING EARLY
# 3 DONT PRACTICE WHAT THE COACH SAID
# 4 TO FIGHT FOR THEIR LIVES WHEN TRAINING TECHNIQUE
# 5 DO NOT “OPEN UP THEIR GAME” WHEN IT IS TIME FOR “SPARRING”

WITHOUT TEAM SPIRIT THERE IS NO WINNING, SO REMEMBER THE FOLLOWING:

– You are on this journey together with your teammates.
– Be positive with your teammates.
– And remember, there is no success without sacrifice.
– You decide if you want to win the GOLD.

— It dosen’t matter if you deserve it. You have to earn it —

I got this from fightzone stockholm facebook page and used goolge translate, to translate it into english.

Rulled the Swedish Open BJJ 2012

CheckMat Denmark first day group photo

We came, we saw and we took home the gold.

Only once since the beginning of this tournament we have not been in the top three, that was last year, but we made up this time by becoming the best academy with 197 points, the second place had 85 points. 33 fighters and we won 32 medals. 18 gold, 7 silver og 7 bronze.

Swedish Open second day

We had been training really hard for this competition, which is the biggest in the region, with 750 sign ups this year. Everything runs smoothly, the organisation works really well.
I’m really proud of the whole team, we had the best cheering section in the stadium. Everybody supported, everybody. Like it should be, could not ask for a better academy to train in and to teach at.

Gold in the 88,3 kg weight class black belt.

I had two fights and won my weight class, it was my second gold as a black belt. Over all I think that I did good in my fights, there are some things, that I need to work on before the Europeans in January 2013. So for the next 2 months, I will put in the work on the mats, to be ready to fight.

I will try to film my preparation for the europeans, so stay tuned.
